Our university
This is your University of Applied Health Sciences
We are the SRH University of Applied Sciences for Health - a state-recognized university founded in 2006 in Gera, situated in the middle of beautiful Thuringia. In its first year, the university had around 80 students, spread across a total of four degree programs. Since then, the university has been writing its own success story, with over 1,500 students now studying in 24 accredited bachelor's and master's degree programs, at a total of 13 campuses and study centres nationwide. In doing so, we are actively contributing to a healthy society.

Our university is state-recognized and is institutionally accredited by the German Council of Science and Humanities. All study programs meet nationwide standards and have been audited by different accreditation agencies. Our University of Applied Health Sciences as well as our great study programs are subject to constant quality control by neutral experts to ensure you the best possible study quality.
STUDY WITH THE CORE PRINCIPLE
A course of study that's all about you.
Study according to the CORE principle! In healthcare, social, and personal skills in particular play a major role alongside technical and methodological skills. To promote these crucial areas of competence, you will study with us according to the CORE principle. CORE stands for practice-oriented learning in small groups, where you will develop competencies step-by-step, and receive personal support from your teachers, who are your individual learning coaches. Together, you will not only acquire specialist knowledge, but also work on very important social and personal skills. Direct communication through personal and close consultation as well as digital exchange and continuous feedback is what we focus on.
